RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, 2005 (RTI, 2005)
The Right to Information Act 2005 provides effective access
to information for citizens of India, which is under the control of the public
authorities. It promotes transparency and accountability in the working of
every public authority. For obtaining information under Right to Information
Act,2005 an application can be made to the Public Information Officer.
Salient Features
1. The prescribed fee for filling the application is Rs.
10/- by way of cash against proper receipt or by way of bank demand Draft or
bankers cheque or Indian Postal Order payable to the Principal D.B.S (PG)
college, Dehradun. 2. An appeal can be preferred before the 1st Appellate
Authority against the decision of the Public Information Officer. 3. Manuals
prepared under Section 4(1)(b) of the Right to Information Act 2005 are
available on the website of the college.
Refund of Caution Money/Security
Refund of caution money will start from September succeeding
the close of the academic year in which the student was studying. It will be
refunded to either the candidate concerned or it may be sent to his/her address
with due deduction of bank/PO charges. In no case, it will be given to any
other person and no authority letter will be entertained. If caution money is
not claimed within one year after leaving college it shall the forfeited.
