Message from the Secretary, Board of Management

Dear Learners
I, welcome you all to another new academic session at DBS (PG) College, Dehradun. Inspired by the vision of the great social reformer of the nineteenth century, Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, and the visionary founders of the college, the goal of the college is to create enlightened individuals with a commitment to social change and nation building, through a course of holistic, academic, intellectual, moral, spiritual and physical development and character building. We do not only impart knowledge but also imbibe the spirit of inquisition and social service among our students. Hence, we take immense pride and utmost care in upholding the tradition in all academic and extracurricular activities. Our Cadets and Volunteers of NCC, NSS, Rovers and Rangers are engaged in various community connect programmes throughout the year under the guidance of ANOS, Programme Officers and Guides. The College has incorporated many modern methods of teaching and learning like some smart classes, e Granthalaya etc for creating a better teaching-learning environment.

We have completed two years of implementation of the New National Education Policy (NEP 2020] at DBS (PG) College and we are entering into another academic session with NEP curriculum at the UG level. Besides 3 years UG course with multiple exit options, we can now offer honours courses in various programs as per NEP Guidelines of our affiliating University The Faculty members have dealt with all the challenges of NEP under the guidance of Principal Prof. V C Pandey and Vice Principal Prof. Anil Pal. Besides teaching and extracurricular activities, our faculty members have produced several research papers in reputed journals, and have received patents and research grants from various agencies.

It gives me immense pleasure to know that the D.B.S.(PG) College, Dehradun's website is being refurbished in this new academic session and thoroughly updated to provide comprehensive information about all the activities of the college. I am sure that this will be very useful to the students, researchers and collaborators as well as the prospective students.

I invite all the ex-students to join the Alumni Association of the college and further enrich the glorious tradition of D.B.S.(PG) College, Dehradun.
