One of the values of the college is to promote and preserve Indian Cultural heritage. In this process, the college established the Indian Knowledge System Cell to provide a general introduction to Indian Knowledge System (IKS) and sensitize the students to the contributions made by ancient Indians in the field of Science, Ayurveda, Vedic Mathematics, Astrology, Astronomy, Yoga, Philosophy, Sustainable Development, Sustainable farming, Indigenous Traditional knowledge and related applications and concepts. To help the students understand the basic contents of our Vedic literature and basic Sanskrit language. The cell will have a co-ordinator from the regular faculty of the college.  Dr. Rajlakshmi Datta is the Co-Ordinator of IKS Cell of the College.

The IKS cell has a students IKS Club where regular activities related to Indian Knowledge System are held. Besides the cell has introduced a wall a magazine ‘Anviksha’ with different themes related to IKS to promote awareness among the youth. The cell organized frequent talks/lectures/ yoga sessions and helps youth in appreciating the rich knowledge traditions of the country and preserve indigenous knowledge of the hill community.
