The sports activities are essential and an integral part of
the academic life of a campus. With the establishment of the college the sports
activities were started. Shri B.N.Bahuguna was the first person to lead the
department. He was very enthusiastic and committed and after him Dr. H.K.
Bhatnagar, Head of the department of Military Studies took the responsibility.
Under guidance of Dr. Ram Mohan Singh the principal of the college (1977-1987),
the college touched new heights in the field of sports. The college has to its
credit the organization of North Zone Inter-Varsity tournaments of football and
Basketball. After 1982, the Department of Physical Education is being looked
after independently by Shri S.K. Agnihotri. A games committee comprising of
teachers always promote the sport activities through out the years. |
